Where to Find PPC Help
for small and very small businesses
If you need or want PPC help beyond just whatever you can learn online (which is a lot), there are several categories of help available. Here’s a quick list.
- dedicated in-house help
- shared in-house help
- large agency
- small agency
- freelancer
- helpful Google reps (for example)
- automation provided by the ad platform (“smart” campaigns, suggestions, etc.)
I have some experience with all of these. Let’s look briefly at each, beginning with what I mean. Then I’ll note a couple of strengths and weaknesses of each approach — but a detailed discussion must await another post.
Dedicated in-house PPC help
This is your employee whose only major responsibility is digital marketing.
Shared in-house PPC help
This is your employee who already has plenty of other things to do — most likely because you trust him or her to get things done, be largely self-directed and self-taught.
.
How to find each kind of help
When you’re smart enough not to do it yourself, and you don’t want to get lost at an agency, and you can’t afford to hire someone good in-house, even if you could find someone, what do you do?
